While you progress through the cave and you want to do cave survey data acquisition, simply position yourself at the station. Point the JedEye at your next target for a fast and precise point-to-point measurement. Stabilize a couple of seconds to lock the azimuth, and Measure.
Want to capture the full dimensions of the room? Optionally activate the volumetric survey at the station. Simply sweep the device across the walls, ceiling, and floor to instantly capture a detailed 3D point cloud of the surrounding space.
Move to the next station, repeat ... JedEye records the precise distance, azimuth, and inclination for every shot, along with optional high-resolution volumetric scans.
Going deep? JedEye is waterproof (IPX8 rated), allowing you to safely transport it through sumps to reach and survey those elusive post-sump dry caves without worrying about water damage.
These data get directly integrated in your favorite 3D cave mapping software with support for DMP (Ariane), CSV (Excel), THE (Therion), SVX (Survex), and DAT (Compass) formats.

FYI : This is obviously not a mass consumer electronic product, but rather a tool aimed at serious cave explorers. Don't expect a fancy/shinny/stylish smartphone-like device. This is a rugged assembly of Delrin around poted state of the art electronic circuitry and plastic screws to lower magnetic disturbance. It won't even look brand new when you unbox it as all devices will be tested and calibrated both on surface and in water before shipping. That being said it's serving its purpose pretty well.
